Our masonry and renovation projects

Discover some of KSSD’s projects: dry-stone wall construction, restoration of historic buildings and complete bathroom renovations.

Based in Ménerbes, KSSD works throughout the Luberon and beyond, delivering durable projects that respect the existing architecture and are tailored to the unique characteristics of each property.

Construction of a double-sided dry-stone wall

A traditional structure seamlessly integrated into the landscape

For this project, KSSD built a double-sided dry-stone wall to define the surrounding areas of a property and naturally follow the contours of the land.

The first step involved preparing the ground and precisely determining the position of the future structure. The curved layout, varying levels and site constraints were taken into account from the outset.

The stones were then carefully selected and assembled to create a harmonious, sturdy wall on both sides. The project is therefore not limited to a single visible face: each side of the wall has a complete finish.

Dry-stone construction relies on the meticulous arrangement of stones without visible mortar. Their precise fitting, interlocking and balance ensure the stability of the entire structure while preserving the material’s natural appearance.

The result is a durable structure that blends seamlessly into the Luberon landscape while respecting the character of the property.

Restoration of an old dry-stone wall

Le mur présentait des pierres déplacées, des irrégularités et plusieurs parties nécessitant une reprise attentive. Le mur a retrouvé sa stabilité et une apparence plus régulière, tout en conservant le caractère authentique de la pierre ancienne.

Strengthening the structure while preserving its authenticity

KSSD also restored an old stone wall with irregularities and several weakened areas.

The aim of this work was to strengthen the structure without compromising its traditional appearance. In historic buildings, every wall has its own history, distinctive stonework and stones of widely varying sizes.

The existing elements were preserved wherever possible. The stones were sorted, repositioned and carefully fitted to create a more stable and harmonious structure.

Particular attention was paid to the selection and arrangement of the stones to preserve the proportions, colours and overall appearance of the surrounding walls.

This restoration secures the area surrounding the property, extends the lifespan of the structure and preserves the site’s architectural identity.

Complete bathroom renovation

A completely redesigned functional space

KSSD also supports its clients throughout their complete bathroom renovation projects.

For this project, the company managed the complete transformation of the space, from initial site preparation through to the finishing touches. The shower was fully renovated to create a comfortable, functional design consistent with the style of the home.

Depending on the room layout and the client’s requirements, a bathroom renovation may include upgrading the plumbing, preparing the walls and floor, installing the shower, laying tiles and applying various finishes.

KSSD also specialises in finishes such as polished concrete and tadelakt, which are particularly well suited to creating understated, natural and contemporary interiors.

This comprehensive service provides the client with a single point of contact and ensures consistent project delivery at every stage.
